Portofino Hotel recently played host to an impactful two-day event from 21st May to 22nd May 2024 titled "Consultative Meeting with Religious and Political Leaders to Address Early Unwanted Pregnancy, Gender-based Violence (GBV), and HIV in Rwanda Using Digital Innovation." That was prepared by Happy Family in partnership with UNESCO, RGB under the project of Our Right, Our Lives, Our Future This pivotal gathering brought together key stakeholders to explore and develop digital strategies aimed at tackling some of Rwanda's most pressing social issues.

The meeting featured distinguished guests, including the Minister of Youth, prominent religious leaders such as a well-respected pastor, and a specialized lawyer with expertise in gender and human rights. Their presence underscored the significance of a collaborative approach in addressing these challenges.

Day One: Insightful Discussions and Digital Solutions

The first day of the event focused on understanding the current landscape of early unwanted pregnancies, GBV, and HIV in Rwanda. The Minister of Youth delivered an opening speech highlighting the government's commitment to leveraging digital tools to educate and empower young people.
